This 10,000-hour salt spray (fog) test, following ASTM B-117 standards, evaluated four steel panels coated with Cold Fusion Concrete (FP250) fireproofing material from Geopolymer Solutions, LLC. The test assessed corrosion resistance across varying insulation thicknesses (3/8” to 1-1/2”). Upon completion, all samples exhibited minimal to no rust or corrosion on the metal substrate beneath the insulation, demonstrating effective protection regardless of insulation thickness​.
